Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Swept Up Cleaning Co. collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English. If anything here is unclear, call or text us at (512) 706-9717 and we will explain it.
Who we are
Swept Up Cleaning Co. ("Swept Up," "we," "us," or "our") is a residential and commercial cleaning company based in Austin, Texas. This policy applies to sweptupcleaningco.com, the pages and booking tools we operate on it, and the information we handle when you contact us or book a cleaning.
It also applies to Swept Up Ads Integration, an internal tool our own team uses to manage and report on Swept Up's advertising. That tool is not a consumer product and is not something customers sign up for. It is covered in "Google services and advertising" and "Google user data" below.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details - your name, email address, and phone number.
- Service address and property details - the address to be cleaned, and details such as size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and pets in the home.
- Booking and service information - the services you request, dates and arrival windows, access instructions (for example a gate code or where a key is kept), cleaning preferences, and the history of cleanings we have performed.
- Quote and form submissions - what you send us through a form on our site, including any message or notes you add.
- Communications - calls, texts, emails, and chat messages between you and our team, including recordings or transcripts where we make them and where the law allows.
- Payment-related information - see "Payments" below. We receive confirmation and status about your payment method; we do not store full card numbers.
- Website, device, and browser information - such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and general location inferred from IP address.
- Advertising and attribution information - such as click identifiers and campaign parameters that tell us which ad or search brought you to our site.
- Cookies and similar technologies - see "Cookies and tracking technologies" below.
We ask for the information we need to quote accurately and clean your home properly. You do not have to give us access details or preferences, but some services are hard to deliver well without them.
Payments
Card payments are processed by our payment processor and our booking platform, not by us directly. Your card details are collected and stored by those providers under their own security and privacy practices. Our own systems record whether a usable payment method is on file, whether it has expired, and the amount and status of a charge - not the card number itself.
How we use information
- Preparing and sending quotes.
- Scheduling, staffing, and delivering the cleanings you book.
- Communicating with you about appointments, arrival windows, access, and follow-up.
- Customer service, including resolving concerns and honoring our satisfaction guarantee.
- Processing payments, refunds, and credits.
- Improving our services, pricing, routing, and training.
- Understanding how our website is used, so we can make it work better.
- Measuring how well our advertising works, including which campaigns lead to bookings.
- Preventing, detecting, and investigating fraud, abuse, and misuse of our site or services.
- Keeping ordinary business records, such as invoices and service history.
- Meeting legal, tax, accounting, and insurance obligations.
- Sending marketing and promotional messages where we are permitted to, and where you have not opted out.
Google services and advertising
We advertise online and measure whether that advertising works. To do that, we use Google services including Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager for:
- showing and managing our ads;
- website analytics;
- campaign measurement and reporting;
- conversion tracking - for example, recording that a quote request or booking happened;
- attribution, meaning understanding which ad, keyword, or campaign led to an enquiry;
- improving how effective our advertising is and how we spend our budget.
We also advertise on other platforms. Our website currently includes advertising and measurement technologies from Meta (Facebook) and TikTok in addition to Google. These providers may set their own cookies and may receive information about your visit, as described in their own privacy policies.
Separately, we operate an internal tool called Swept Up Ads Integration. It connects to Swept Up's own authorized Google Ads account through Google's APIs so our team can do campaign reporting, advertising analysis, conversion measurement, campaign management, and keyword and performance research. This access is to our own advertising accounts, for our own business operations.
To be explicit: customers do not grant, and are not asked to grant, access to any Google Ads account. Only authorized Swept Up personnel connect a Google account to this tool.
Google user data
When an authorized Swept Up user connects a Google account to Swept Up Ads Integration, the tool can access only what that user's granted permissions (OAuth scopes) allow.
In practice those permissions cover our advertising and search-performance data: managing and reading Swept Up's Google Ads accounts, and - where separately authorized - read-only access to Swept Up's Google Search Console performance data.
This integration does not request or receive the connecting user's Google profile identity, Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Contacts, Calendar, or photos.
Information obtained through this integration is used only to provide and operate that internal advertising and reporting functionality. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising targeted at the person who connected the account, and we do not transfer it to others except to the service providers that host and operate our systems, or where we are legally required to. Where we keep records derived from it - for example campaign performance summaries or conversion measurement records - we keep them as ordinary business records, as described in "Data retention and security."
Swept Up Cleaning Co.'s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
A connected account's access can be withdrawn at any time, either from within the tool or from the Google account's own third-party access settings.
Sharing of information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the business, and with providers who are expected to protect it:
- Booking and scheduling platform - to hold your booking, address, and service history.
- Payment processors - to take payment and handle refunds.
- Communications providers - to send and receive calls, texts, and email, and to run our website chat.
- Website hosting and content delivery providers - to serve our site.
- Customer relationship and marketing tools - to manage enquiries and send messages you have not opted out of.
- Analytics and advertising platforms - as described above.
- Cleaners and contractors - the people performing your cleaning receive what they need to do the job, such as your name, address, arrival window, access instructions, and relevant preferences.
- Professional advisors - such as accountants, insurers, and lawyers, where appropriate.
- Authorities or other parties - where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, our team, or someone's safety.
- A successor - if the business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Data retention and security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No website, system, or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here - for example to service your account, keep accurate business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations - and then dispose of it or stop using it for those purposes. Retention periods vary by record type, so we do not publish a single fixed deletion schedule.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies, mostly placed by the third-party tools we have embedded rather than by our own page code. These support:
- website analytics and understanding how pages are used;
- advertising measurement and conversion tracking;
- attribution - remembering which ad or campaign brought you to the site so a later enquiry can be credited correctly;
- embedded features such as our chat widget, quote and review widgets, and maps.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block them, parts of the site - particularly embedded booking, chat, and review features - may not work properly. You can also opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google My Ad Center and adjust equivalent settings with other advertising platforms.
Marketing communications
With your permission, or where otherwise allowed, we may send promotional emails and text messages about services and seasonal offers.
You can opt out of promotional messages at any time: reply STOP to a promotional text, use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or call or text us at (512) 706-9717 and ask to be removed.
Opting out of marketing does not stop operational messages about a cleaning you have booked - for example appointment confirmations, arrival notifications, access questions, receipts, or a message about a problem with your service. Those are part of providing the service. If you no longer want any messages at all, contact us and we will discuss what that means for your bookings.
Privacy choices and requests
You can contact us to:
- ask what information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it;
- ask us to stop sending marketing;
- ask a question about this policy or how we handle information.
Email hello@sweptupcleaningco.com or call (512) 706-9717. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request, and some information must be kept for legal, tax, or accounting reasons even after a deletion request. Privacy rights differ depending on where you live; we handle requests in line with the laws that apply to you.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults arranging cleaning for their home or business. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Third-party services and links
Our site links to and embeds services operated by other companies - for example our booking platform, payment processor, chat widget, review widgets, maps, and social media pages. Those companies have their own privacy policies and practices, and this policy does not cover them. We encourage you to read theirs.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy as our services, tools, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to make it more visible.
